A poetry slam is a competition at which poets read or recite their own work. Poetry Slams have their tradition in oral performances of stories and poems. Since the beginnings in Chicago in the 1980s, poetry slam scenes have spread all over the world and there have been several international competitions.
The students – or should I say poets? – of the class 10c have written beautiful, thoughtful and intense poems on various topics. The winners of the slam were selected by the audience and are: Vivian Tilgner, Jaqueline Adelowo and Felix Brümmer.
